What’s been happening:

Upon graduating, I became an Asst. Home Economist in Franklin Cnty., PA, where I worked with homemakers and 4-H club members, wrote a newspaper column and had a weekly radio broadcast. A year later I accepted a job in Montgomery County, MD, working with 4-H clubs. After my marriage, I lived in Altoona, (7 years), Wilkes-Barre (Dallas) (5 years), and York (40 years). While in Dallas, I had my own day-care school (thanks to my child development and nursery school major). When I moved to York, I was the head teacher for a Head Start Program, and later employed by the York City School District (had to return to school to get my teaching certification). While teaching, I was a facilitator for the district's TESA program. I became a professional storyteller (still am), and after retiring taught storytelling at York College and for McDaniel College. I began writing for children, and have 10 books, 6 plays, and over 150 magazine articles and short stories published. I now present workshops, classes and seminars on storytelling and writing at various venues. I've shared stories throughout the US, as well as on cruise ships and in a few countries abroad. I love the theatre-have been in many shows and now volunteer at three local theatres, where I see many fine performances. I've traveled to many great countries and on cruises. Life is good!
